Senior Content Designer and UX Writer, Enterprise  UX Team Home Depot Nov 2022 - Current)

Responsible for developing a deep understanding of The Home Depot eCommerce experience aligned to its core brand voice and tone that is data driven showing how customers are spoken to, with a focus on customer-centered design solutions across all communication touchpoints. Principal advocate for UX content vision, content consistency and e-Commerce product design solutioning for User Interface (UI) and Customer Experiences (CX).

Other responsibilities include:

  • Meet with product teams to develop content frameworks, voice and tone requirements, product narratives, and other deliverables that help gain cross-functional alignment of UI and UX writing and content strategy.
  • Create content in collaboration with product & design systems throughout the entire product development cycle from tee-shirt sizing projects to journey mapping to ideation to development. Specifically, instructional text, microcopy content for pop-up modals, info tips, error message, and CTAs.

Senior Content Designer and UX Writer, Digital Experience Team (Charles Schwab, Nov 2021 - Nov 2022)

As primary content designer and writer, my job involved helping the Company bring new products, services and features to life for their users. This involved designing and optimizing the interface of digital platforms, including StreetSmart Edge, Mobile Investing, and ESG ETF. I collaborated with product leads to analyze user flows, create customer journey maps and content style guides for all Digital Trading Experiences. In addition to helping users navigate native digital products, we also worked on pop-up modals, prototypes and push notifications. Through the user-centered approach we were able to better understand our target market, specific content needs, and ultimately drive customer engagement by (XX).

During my time with Google, I was responsible for the development and optimization of UI and UX for Google Maps and Google for Education. As the Lead UX Writer for Humana’s Employer Market Division, I effectively built brand stories at scale which were digitally optimized, efficiently delivered, and useful to both online and mobile audiences. My integrated content strategy encompassed channel selection and product focus, editorial governance and user testing which aligned with the team’s KPIs. To increase user engagement I implemented a customized content approach delivering ‘walled-garden’ user environments through location tracking and usage behavior data. To further drive product value proposition, I initiated the development of voice and tone guides and ensured content strategy alignment across all platform interfaces. The data and research-driven content solutions resulted in viable product concepts which enhanced user-centered problem solving capabilities and demand generation. On a global scale I led the Company’s Digital Center of Excellence team on content initiatives providing strategy, thought leadership, project management and best practices. I was responsible for collaborating with marketing teams, product managers, and key business stakeholders to provide usable and engaging content which measurably enhanced the Grainger brand and online user experience. Responsibilities included: building and managing content roadmaps and lifecycles from conception to development to implementation for all of Grainger’s digital assets; defining and implementing standards, processes & guidelines around content frameworks, content creation, distribution, governance and repurposing; establishing content style guides and pattern library to ensure uniformed omni-channel content experience consistent in terms of style, quality and tone.
